My work is playful, narrative and textured. I love vintage children’s books, deadlines and prompts. Colour thrills me; I have synesthesia, which means I see words in colour and sometimes I can taste them too!
I grew up in the North of England but spent much of my childhood travelling the world in rusty cargo ships with my seafaring father, always dreaming, always drawing, always telling stories.
Later I studied design and glass making at Staffordshire University where I won a scholarship to The Prague Academy of Arts. I also completed The Children's Picture Book Course and the Find Your Creative Voice Course run by The Good Ship Illustration.
In 2024 I was chosen by The Association of Illustrators for their six month mentorship programme which I've just completed and I’m very excited to see where it leads me.
I live in Manchester where I draw every day and watch the birds on my tiny balcony.
If you’d like to work with me or ask me any questions I’d love to hear from you. Drop me a line or direct message me on Instagram and I'll get back to you clickety split.
Thanks for dropping by
